Show Notes

The pressures of the presidency can be overwhelming, especially when your own nation is entangled in a Civil War.  To recharge himself, Abraham Lincoln and his family would often retreat to a secluded cottage, less than 4 miles from The White House.  It doesn’t seem like a long way, but it was world’s away from the hustle and trouble of D.C.  What he found here was physical and mental health, and what he did here resulted in some of the most significant moments of his presidency.  We’re finding out more about the very historic President Lincoln’s Cottage, on this special episode of American POTUS!
