Just like his father, John Quincy Adams was smart, ambitious and literally would not stop fighting until he achieved what he thought was right. His 1-term in the White House was a bust, but his post-presidency life as a Congressman – well that’s where he really made a difference. He was absolutely relentless, taking on slavery, women’s rights and Native American rights.
