Just like his father, John Quincy Adams was smart, ambitious and literally would not stop fighting until he achieved what he thought was right. His 1-term in the White House was a bust, but his post-presidency life as a Congressman – well that’s where he really made a difference. He was absolutely relentless, taking on slavery, women’s rights and Native American rights. In fact, he pushed so hard his enemies tried him for treason just to try and shut him up…which thankfully, never worked! Old Man Eloquent, John Quincy Adams is on this episode of American POTUS!
